Professionally he worked for İstanbul Textile Exporters Association (İTKİB) between 1991 and 1993. He then joined Joined DEBANT, a Turkish industrial packaging material manufacturer, in 1994 where he served as Deputy General Manager and Board Member until 2006.
At the end of 2006 he became General Manager of HAN YAPI Properties. He has also been a Council Member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) Turkey District Council since 2007.
Mr Yasar also writes economic articles in daily Turkish newspapers.
